It’s all changed since I last went there – and it is now excellent! The food was fabulous and the service was very good, and the setting was also lovely. Oh, and we found out that it’s named after a dog who is buried in the garden which I thought was sweet.

went there for dinner the other night – since we moved it may be our closest restaurant. Good food, nice view, good service with the exception of them forgetting HandyMan’s coke refill. The vanilla creme brulee was excellent.
A highlight was the inhouse entertainment – billed as the neo retro show. What’s neo retro? Retro is the new neo.
It’s run by Germans (I heard them say vergessen), and it’s our new local pizza joint. They also have a store in Longreach. We tried their pizza the other night when we had done too much cleaning and moving to bother cooking – it was good, I particularly liked the garlic bread which was flat and round. More expensive than Eagle Boys on a tight-arse Tuesday but is now much closer to home. Also, the supreme has no olives which means we’ll never accidentally get olives on our pizza. yay.
sSs bbq: verdict: not going back
2 that I have recommendations for are Angelo’s and Jordan’s
Following a minor dispute with HandyMan over what qualifies as a restaurant, the place of dining must meet the following criteria: seats are not bolted to the floor and napkins are made of cloth. Did I miss anything – I don’t want to be forced to go to Super Chicken or Happy Jacks et al.
