finish my masters

I just wish…wish…wish…I don’t know…it just seems like such a big deal, big expense, etc. but I know, I’d love it. I need to get more pointed. More focused. Like…what do I really want to get done in my life. I’m forty years old dammit.

Columbia University Teacher’s College is very appealing to me. I’ve always wanted to live in NYC. Does anyone have experience in getting a masters? Choosing a university?

I went to the local State University and inquired about a masters in education. I talked to a few people in the dept to get a feel for who they were.

I like this particular place because it’s local, there’s parking, their focus is on urban ed. It’s on the less expensive side of graduate ed and they have this cool track that offers courses from the Creative & Critical thinking curriculum.

So. That was my first step. I will check out a more private university that I really like but fear the expense and location.

and at what price? I do not want to be in debt!
No way. But I want to get smarter and better!
