I quit smoking and I have saved myself enough money to purchase a PSP with 2 games and a movie! Its totally worth it. I breath better, and can taste better.

Well, it is now time to say goodbye to my Stop smoking goal. I am not on the patch and I still havent had a smoke. I want to thank everyone for the encouragment. laurel youve been the best. So has the countless others who helped me. I especially want to thank my family for being so supportive and also I would like to say “Its totally worth doing!”
Well, Its been a long journey, and to this date, I have not smoked a single cig! Which means that technically I am fully an X-smoker. However, today is the first day without the patch. My mind is a little fluttered but I dont crave any nicotine. I can feel the side effects missing 7mg a day but not too bad. I really appreciate all the support I received from other people her on 43things. I dont think I would of made it this far without this website. So, what advice do I have to quit smoking:
Just follow these steps and you’ll be smoke free:
First, get motivated to quit
Then get the patch
then write about your progress in a journal and use 43things for support and encouragment.
Then, stop smoking and stick to it….YOU CAN DO IT because I DID IT!!! IF I can do it then, trust me, you can too!
Well, starting tomorrow I am on my last step, step 3 with my patches. Which means that I will be only on 7mg of nicotine a day. I am really worried because when I went from 21mg to 14mg it was a horrible adjustment. But I think I can handle it. I still get these nicotine cravings, but they dont last very long. I went a day without the patch over the weekend because it washed away while I was white water rafting. I think I will make it…I think I will make it…I think I can…I think I can
Well, I still have not had one cig. I dont exactly know how long its been but i think its been like over 7 weeks. I still want one but i am dealing with it. I start my last step, step 3 wich is only 7mg of nicotine…im not looking forward to it because i still dont feel like ive adjusted to step 2 which is 14 mg. Oh well, I am still coughing up crap in my lungs, but i have been breathing a lot better. The tar is still there but I believe thats because of the dope i smoke. I dont smoke it a lot, just a little everyday.
Well, I still havent had a smoke in 6 weeks. Today, has been one hell of a challange. I started step 2. Which means that instead of having 21mg of nicotine, I now have 14mg. It was a rough couple of hours, but I think my body is coping. I feel the decrease in nicotine. Let me tell you something, everyone says” hey great, you made it over a month, its all smooth sailing. Well, let me tell you, NO its not! I still have cravings. Though, not very often. I still am happy that I quit though.. it has saved me 150 dollars. Oh well, i got more important things to worry about, like fixing up my new house
Well, its been just about a month since my last cigarett. I still have cravings, but they have been greatly reduced. Its funny, the cravings come out of nowhere. The patches are working great…I forgot to put one on yesterday and let me tell you…not a good idea to forget one of those things. My head was just all hazy because of it. In two weeks i go to a lower dose of nicotine. Im on 21mg of nicotine now and will go to 14mg. I am little worried but I will make it…Ive made it this far. Oh, and yesterday I just officially bought my new house
Well, its been a little over 3 weeks. According to quitmeter.com I havent smoked 439 Cigarettes and I have saved $93.29! So far so good. Last night I had a bad craving again..it lasted maybe 20 seconds. It seems to only happen when I am around smokers. I am happy about my accomplishment. The next hurdle I will need to overcome is moving into my new house. Its going to be very, very, very stressfull.
its been 19 days without a smoke. The headaches are not that bad. The patch is really helping. I will admit though, last night, i was under a lot…i mean a lot of stress and i almost took a cig from my buddy. But I came to the conclusion that i made it this far and I could keep going. So what I did was say “get that away from me” and walked in the house. i know people say you shouldnt run away from your problems but I think that in this case, it was a special exception
Well, its been 16 days. Wow, cant believe I made it this far. Next week will be the real test for me, my family is leaving for the week and when that happens i tend to get myself into some trouble. My will power is really getting stronger so I think that i will have no problems. According to the quit meter
I havent smoked 322 cigs since i quit and i saved myself $68.42.
