Learn to play the banjo

Plugging along in my clawhammer adventure, I now know 3 chords and can play part A of Cripple Creek. This is so much fun. Weekly lessons are so incredibly worthwhile!

I got my first leson from an amazing vocalist who came through town. I found a more permanent teacher as well, and I’ll be learning clawhammer style. Yay progress!

I am now the proud owner of a beautiful banjo. Am currently hunting for a teacher, and in the meantime I’m starting with chords, etc. from a book. YAAAY!

I went banjo shopping yesterday. It’s worth it, but it will be a big investment, especially with lessons on top of it. But I know there is a good picking community here.
