- The Comedians (at the Lyric Hammersmith) I feel mixed about this. Very interesting, but so period as to show the distance between our sense of humour 40 years ago, rather than draw parallels or draw us in.

-Julius Caesar (At the Blue Elephant) Better left unsaid.

Raoul by James Thierry unbe-fucking-lievable. Incredible, beautiful, marvelous. I’m smitten.

I also saw warhorse again. Different cast- do I count it?

Since I’ve met this goal and it’s only August, I am changing to 50 pieces of theatre in 2009. Kudos and big pats on the back to myself for making it past 25 (all the way to 33!) but if I want this to be an interesting goal, and a challenge, I’d better up it to 50.

Very very good production, though SO true to life it could be excruciating and frustrating. Beautifully acted.
