I'm Taking this Off — 1 month ago
This is off the main list for now.
This is off the main list for now.
I swam last night; it’s been months since the last time. I enjoyed it so much that after about 10 minutes I realized that I was not counting laps. But I was watching the time, making sure that I swam for 30 minutes.
Okay, I thought the swim mask was going to be the answer to my goggle problem, but it’s not. Water is leaking into the mask, which was the same problem with the goggles. I’m going to try a new pair of goggles.
Last night my DH and I swam. I swam 32 laps (okay, now I am counting down and back as 2 laps—it seems easier).
Last week I swam 28 laps.
Yay!
Swam for 30 minutes yesterday. I want to do this once a week, for awhile…
Down and back is one lap for me. I may have miscounted, just because a lot can go through my mind from one lap to another.
At least I’m certain that I swam for 30 minutes last night. That I know. Warming up in the steam room and hot tub helped…as well as getting in the dry sauna to stretch when I was done.
AND I finally figured out how to adjust my swim mask! Yay!
Reentry. Not bad! I’d like to try for at least once a week.
I’m making room on my list, so this goes on the backburner for now. I don’t have time for bicycling, weight training AND swimming. So swimming would be better in the dead of winter (as long as we have access to the wonderful heated pool and sauna!).
We swam on the Fourth. We had new swim masks. They are GREAT!
Now, to swim at least once a week, maybe twice…on a regular basis.
My DH and I got our swim gear out and went to the pool at the health club last night.
But, we both need better goggles (or what I think I’d like to try is a swim mask). Those things degrade over time, and I believe ours were at least a couple of years old.
So we only lasted 15 minutes. (But that was okay by me. It was pretty late in the evening. I needed my beauty sleep.)
And 15 minutes was enough for me to realize, that yes, this is something I definitely want to do more of! Motivation follows action.
It’s time to re-incorporate this into my variety of exercise. I like to swim. I’m just not in the routine of doing it. So time to get crackin’!
