I’m on the committee to get my coworkers to donate school supplies.

I wish I were a little more excited about this. Maybe because school supplies = end of summer. No! We just started summer. Wahh

Loaded the Boxes  — 8 months ago

This past Monday I volunteered to load boxes to take to the food pantry.

They were heavy, but not too bad—this is why I lift weights!

So I got a little sweaty. Now on to the next volunteer project.

...to do some tasks that no one else would do for the food drive.

For 2008, though, I’d like to be a regular volunteer somewhere. Maybe a reading tutor? Or help with the operations at the charity thrift shop?

We ARE Doing a Food Drive at the Office  — 9 months ago

For awhile, it seemed like this annual tradition wasn’t going to happen this year. But it has been confirmed.

There’s a committee and there’s been a meeting, so that makes it official. Hee

I’ve enjoyed doing this in the past. I hope to motivate my colleagues again to open up their wallets for the less fortunate.

At the Office  — 10 months ago

I’ve volunteered at the office. I’m on the “Giving Committee” again this year. I forgot about how I volunteered for this last year.

I think we’re having a food drive.

I want to volunteer for something else in my community, though, but it may be difficult with the upcoming holiday travel…hmmmm…
