build a boat

I got distracted from the boat I was trying to build and instead used the wood to build an elevated garden. It’s actually really nice with most of the vegetables I’ll need for a salad.

Today, however, I have a friend coming over and we’re going to start a new sailing dingy that we’ll probably finish in about a week. If all goes well we can build a second one and race them around the lake that the gated community down the road is built around.

Today I’ve started working on my first boat! It is only an 8 foot wooden dingy but I’m going to try to set it up for sailing in a small lake. Hopefully it all goes well. :)
