...when scriptfrenzy starts, so I started working on this. Today I downloaded a free screenwriting program (celtx.org), did a bunch of background research for my plot, named my characters, and started an outline. Right now I’m stalled on the outline, but I’m sure I’ll think of something.
I forgot how much fun this part of the process is! Giving life to a new idea sure beats reading rejection letters—surprise, surprise.

I kinda had this stupid idea that, as hard as it is to get a novel published, it must be easier to get a movie made, right? I mean, everyone is always talking about how Hollywood is out of ideas and desperate for good writers.
Well, some research this afternoon popped that bubble. Getting a script read seems if anything more daunting than getting someone to look at a novel. Aye, woe is me.
