cross country 5k 13 months ago

ran a 5k yesterday on some new terrain, it was a blast, we were running on muddy grass and some steepish hills, it really required you to be on your toes through the whole race…the rest of the day i felt mellow

trying to get out and run a race every month with my sister, we motiviate each other, it’s always nice to have a running partner



running schedule 15 months ago

keeping up with the training schedule…i did my regular bike commute yesterday 11 miles round trip and ran about 4 miles…i have been doing push ups at night and plank poses to strengthen my core and my chest and arms…i am planning on doing a long run tomorrow or sunday and then i have about a month to start increasing the mileage for the 1/2 marathon…i am also shedding some pounds which i am happy about

so now that i have the beach to beacon under my belt i need to start training for the half marathon coming up in october

i am running a 5k at the end of this month also so that will help prepare me

i have been training for the beach to beacon coming up in a couple weeks…i ran on the lake road in VT last week and that was five miles and i was pretty beat after that jaunt

going to continue to ride my bike to work daily and get some runs in during the week also to further prepare
should be a good race

i got up early on sunday and decided i was going to be productive all morning so i made coffee and brought the compost outside and decided to run

the run was great because there were very few cars out on the road because it was sunday and early…i kept an easy pace and just focused on my stride a bit more closely

going to run on the treadmill tonight, feels good to sweat it out after work

ran a few miles the other day after biking home…ran in my neighborhood and it felt great, it was tougher than running on the treadmill so it took me a bit to get into the groove

running after work today on the treadmill and i had a perfect week biking to work…about 50 miles total on the bike

training for a 10k coming up in August…going to alternate between running and biking during the week

today i ran 3 miles on the treadmill

stretched for 10 minutes

i haven’t been keeping up with this one…i am back on the bike though and that feels good

i would like to incorporate some running during the week maybe on the day i don’t ride the bike i can run or even pull off a double work out



treadmill 22 months ago

i have been back on the treadmill a bit but i really want to do some more outdoor runs to see how my knee is holding up

it seems that the treadmill is better for the knees but i did run 4 miles or so on christmas day and my leg was feeling fine

3 miles on the tread today…ran at a faster pace for some short intervals…probably 2 minutes at a time

felt good to sweat today
