Finally finished! There are so many and they are so colorful. It was getting hard at the end, but we are finished several weeks before the wedding. Woo-hoo! I’m not going to click “I’m done” until I can get a picture up…

Things have surely been hectic, but we were able to fold another 80 last night while we watched cheesy ninja movies. It was really fun. So, that puts us at 880 with only 120 to go! We still have 4 1/2 weeks until the wedding, so I think we’ll be just fine. Really, we could fold those together in one evening if we really had to. Now I just have to get to all the other stuff left on the “to-do” list.
As of today, I’m up to 800. Just two more and we’ll be done! I would like to finish by the end of this weekend, just so I can call it done!
I’m also making paper roses and flowers for my bouquets. It’s cheaper and much more fun than real flowers!
I’m up to 750 as of yesterday. I’m shooting for another 50 today. Mark’s been working way too many hours to help me. :(
I have 700 completed as of today. I didn’t finish as many as I’d hoped this week, but I still have 2.5 months to get them done, so I’m in good shape.
I folded 60 more last night while I watched episodes from season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My life is so interesting, no? I won’t be able to fold any tonight since I have plans for a change. Woo-hoo! I’ll try to do another 40 this weekend some time.
I just finished 600. It’s harder to do these without Mark around to make it fun, but he’ll be back in town soon and we’ll have another movie night/folding party. Yay!
I didn’t get many done this weekend, but I did fold some while i caught up with my HULU queue on Saturday while Mark worked out elsewhere. So, he didn’t help me with any, but I was still able to get another 30 or so done. We have almost hit 600! Yay!
Last night, we folded cranes and watched “Role Models.” We had such a good time and got closer to our goal. We’re over half-way done and we have until June 27th—our wedding date. We are in good shape!
We’re having a Japanese themed wedding. I’ve been folding origami since I was a kid, but I’ve never sat down and folded 1000 cranes for luck. I figured this would be an appropriate time since I can decorate with them at my wedding. I had folded about 200 by myself, but one night my fiance asked me to show him. He picked it up really quickly! Now we’re up to 500 by working together on it. He’s so sweet…he’s been out of town for work a lot and he’s been taking paper with him to fold in his room at night. He always makes them perfectly too. It’s really turning into fun and it will look amazing at our wedding.
