My fourth entry is up and I have three friends following, and I am following their blogs. What fun! I was even able to start trading succulent cuttings with other people interested in succulents. One more entry, and I will condsider my blog “started!”
courtney foxsparrow has written 5 entries about this goal
This morning I made my third entry! I decided that the blog would be about my hobbies with my husband, which include plant, insect, and pet care. This entry was about my money tree plant that he gave me last year. I did some research and compiled it and wrote about my personal experience with caring for the plant. It was fun!
Also, I was brave and posted a link to my blog on facebook today. I’m hoping some of my other friends with similar interests will enjoy reading it.
Two more entries, and I will consider this goal complete. I figure five entries is a “start.”
I finally got around to making a second entry! I was reading my cousins’ blogs today and got the urge to work on my own. I’m going to focus on my “living” hobbies, which include my plants, my pets, and my fascination with insects. I think it will be interesting, and give me a history to look back on. I’m not really worried about a following, but maybe down the road I can help someone with their plant, pet, or insect. :)
Two entries down, three to do before I call this one “done.”
I decided to set up a page on blogger.com. It was free and easy, so it seemed like a good place to start. I am going to write about my life with my husband, Mark. I hope to keep my family and friends updated about our life, since I’m so terrible at calling them. I’ll wait until I’ve written 5 entries before I call this baby done.
Here it is! http://thefoxsparrowsnest.blogspot.com/
I’ve always been terrible at journaling. I’ll go through spurts and then nothing for a long time. I think a blog would be a fun way to catalog my life and the life of my ever-evolving family. I’ve sort of been blogging here in order to accomplish my goals, but I don’t necessarily want my family reading all of this stuff. My cousins have blogs and I enjoy catching up on their families without having to call them all the time (I’m not a phone person). I also like the idea of being able to look back over the years. It would be like journaling, but I could type, which is a lot faster. I think I’ll start by researching the best free blogging sites. I’m also considering registering a domain name, but I’m not sure if that’s a better way to go or not. Hmmm.
