Run sunday sucked. Seriously. My back’s been out, but I decided to run anyway. Right? sure. Here’s a recap mile by mile.
1. Ugh it’s way too early to be doing this.
2. These miles are going really slow. FUCK MY IPOD jUST DIED
3. I can’t believe my ipod died. Hey look people cheering
4. Ow. my back hurts
5. Wow, my back really hurts- What’s the pain in my thigh?
6. Is there a drug dealer anywhere around here for some vicodin (I’d left mine in the hotel)
7. Bridge. Wow this sucks.
8. OH GOD ITS COLD AND WET AND IM GOING TO SLIP AND DIE
9. This is better. Going back over the bridge felt better. Probably due to the energy gel.
10. Cool. 10. OH SHIT GOING DOWN HILL HURTS. My right thigh tendon feels like it’s bruising

12. I can’t run anymore. I just shot my goal time.

all in all it was sorta kinda worth doing? I’m still not able to walk day after. I shouldn’t have run injured. I didn’t walk until I hit mile 11 though, so I consider that pretty sexy. I was just at 2 hours when I hit mile 10, which was sorta my goal. But walking the last couple shot my time to just under 3 hours total. I couldn’t even walk normally.
Oh well. I did it. Right?
never Again. I finished tho with my back shot.
For San Fran. Getting back late sunday night. Will update then… but for now my back’s pretty out right now and this does not make me thrilled.

When I chose this goal I was like “Oh, end of July I’m going to have plenty of time to train” and I totally fell off the band wagon this week. Good news? I did spin and couldn’t even get my heart rate up seriously no matter how hard I tried. So I know I’m not going to die this weekend.
Somehow I’ve also gotten into this “sport” which I once considered torture. I was never a runner even growing up… I mean I totally did sports in highschool (volleyball, golf) but I hated running. Oddly I’ve started to love it and have become uber-informed on a lot of this stuff.
I think all-in-all I still like running cross-country better than street and I like biking/spin better than running. Now if I get back into swimming (did swim team/lifeguard training) I’ll be set for that triathlon. HAHA that was funny.
I’ll probably do a full marathon this fall/winter. Why? because I’m 18 and have nothing better to do since I graduated with my BA already.

Haven’t been able to run due to life. todays my day off and I’m so incredibly unmotivated.
Guess I’ll be going to the gym the morning to break the rut…
but my back’s been out a couple of days, I should have run more, and I should have lifted weights instead of spinning for cross training. I have like 10 days to make this suck less, but…
this half marathon is not going to be pleasant.
but I’m happy
so. you know what.
