I'm still not done..

..but I’m very, very close.
I’ve had 3 glycolic peels, one alpha-beta peel and one microdermabrasion treatment, and my skin is AMAZING. It’s still not perfect but considering the way it used to look, it’s awesome.
I’m mostly treating the scarring now by getting a few more micro treatments..
Good lord, including the skin products i’ve had to buy, this has cost me $655 in the last 2 months. Damn you, bad genes!

GLYCOLIC PEELS

ARE AMAZING.
I’ve had two, and you wouldnt BELIEVE how much better my skin looks.
They’re not super expensive, and they’re totally worth it.

i've started

seeing the raddest chick ever at the place i go for facials
i’m getting a glycolic peel once a fortnight and using an at-home glycolic cream
sooooo its going pretty well so far =D
she reckons a few months should do it

new regime

I’d used Dr Brandt before and remember it being pretty good, so I bought this little kit in the Poreless range. Its got cleanser, toner, day cream and night cream and so far its really good. Been using it a week.. so we’ll see how it goes in a month or so.

Has anyone tried..

The skincare brand called Exposed? Its meant to be this super magical skin-fixer and im intrigued??

Okay the best advice i can give:
Stop fighting your skin – you need to work with it, you’re on the same side! Remeber when your skin is breaking out, it’s hurt – you need to heal and look after it.
As soon as I realised this, and started helping my skin rather than attacking it with every drying-up type product i could find, it started improving.
It’s gotten SO MUCH better just over the last 2 weeks..heres what i’ve changed:

I’ve started taking these Skin Support tablets that Blackmores make, they’ve got zinc and a bunch of other goodies in them.

I stopped using harsh, dry cleansers. cos they make your skin produce more oil after drying it out so it starts breaking out again blahdy blahdy blah its a bad cycle.

I started using a really good quality moisturiser, and a mask from the same range once a week. The brand is called Ren, and theyre like really natural and shiz. they’re awesome.

I started using this 2 step peel once a week instead of exfoliating every few days – its way more gentle and it helps get rid of breakouts AND marks and scars they leave. A twofer!

AND
i think most importantly
i started drinking BUTTLOADS of water. normally about 2.5 litres a day. Im not kidding when i say it makes a world of difference.

anyway so enough of me rambling for the day, i hope you got something out of all of this =)
