Ordered the second edition 4 years ago

I worked through the first edition of “Programming Ruby”, back when Ruby 1.6 was the current version.

I’ve used Ruby for one medium project and a few little ones, but that was all before 1.8.

And you can’t use Ruby without the pick axe :)
