When cleaning or cooking, I like to listen to music … I’ve been using the cable music channels.

I need to start writing down people’s suggestions of music I might like. Last night I liked a singing voice on TV and my friend told me who it was and some other music I might like. Now I can’t remember it at all.
I consulted my radio manual. It allows you to pre-set 20 stations. I printed out a list from the Internet of stations in my area, then sat down and sampled each one. I programmed in the 20 I can get on my radio that I liked the most. Now I’m all set to listen at will.
So far this has helped me watch less TV, do more satisfying things with my time at home, and listen to more music.
I find myself tuning in to the classical station a lot because it makes good background music.
I started using Pandora on the web, which is an amazing way to listen to music if you know a few songs/artists you like and want to discover similar music. Then I got rid of Internet at home (temporarily), so I’ve printed out a list of radio stations, and I intend to start listening to the radio more.
