I decided to start blogging my quest toward buying my first home. I feel like it will be years before this happens, but hopefully not! I am in the early stages of working on a budget (so I can save for a downpayment) and becoming more knowlegdeable about home buying. I’m also looking at real estate ads to get a feel for how much house I want, and where.

I’ve started a savings account with ING Direct just for saving for a downpayment. It’s building slowly right now, but it’s better than counting on the lottery, an inheritance, or something like that.
