decorate my house

I can’t believe how time consuming painting trim is! Well, I finally painted the trim around my bedroom window and now I am working on the bathroom door and window trim too. My bedroom looks coordinated. There aren’t any pics or art on the wall, but atleast the furniture all matches and the walls and trim are all freshly painted. It looks good… but it doesn’t look finished because the walls are so bare. I need some kind of artwork or pics that I like up there….

Well, we bought the house and spent money on bedroom furniture, new windows, and so many other things. I hung a decoration on the wall today! We painted 2 rooms. So, I am making progress. I am having difficulties budgeting home decor and I definitely need more storage space to help tidy up. one step at a time…

I will have succeeded in this goal when I have a house of my own, and can paint all the walls whatever color I want, and I have matching, coordinated furniture and window treatments in each room. Wow! To me that is a big deal! This one will take a while.

well, I don’t own my own house yet (another goal), but I hope to own one in a few months. So, I am having fun drawing pictures of what I want my daughter’s room to look like. I am drawing a windowseat enclosed between a wall and a bookshelf (that faces in) and hanging a sheer lace curtain to enclose the space. It has been fun and my husband is very handy, so if the house we end up buying has an appropriate window, maybe we can do this. It is fun to draw the pictures.

This item is on a back burner until I buy a house. I can’t paint the house I am renting. I plan to buy a house this year!
