buy a digital video camera

I’ve wanted a digital camera for a long time. Recently, however, I’ve become much more interested in shooting video. Now that storage cost is coming down, and bandwidth is getting cheeper, and everyone and their grandmother has a video blog, I feel like it will be a good investment.

Someday, I would love to own a Canon XL2 someday, but until then, my camera of choice is a Sanyo VPC-C6

I was poking around on cooltools and ran across this post about the Lumix FZ5. I think this will probably be my next digital camera.

We have a kodak digital that is nice as a snap-shot camera, but I really really really want a camera that will allow me to focus on something specific instead of auto-focusing everything. Aparently, I’ll have better luck with Canon than Kodak. If anyone has a sugestion, I’d love to hear it. Right now, I’m looking for cheap and small… eventually I’ll get a digital Rebel.
