join a choir

Im now welcome in the music groups that lead the songs in my church every 2nd and 4th sunday. I was meant to join them today, but the email I got just listed the titles of the songs…and well I didnt know any of them. I had a talk to the minister today and he said I was welcome to come and practice during the week and that he would help me find the music i needed. Thats really great, it mean I will get to play piano again :)

Looks like this is harder then I thought. I found a church, but they dont have a big choir just small groups that sometimes lead the songs during the service. I let them know i was interested in be included in one of those groups though, so I just have to wait until I hear something more.

A friend sent me a webpage with list over choirs in the city. I found one that sounded interesting however it on the totally other side of the city. I would really liked to joined something locally to get to know this community better. Guess I have to keep searching.

wonder if i should change this goal to ‘help out with a childrens choir’. The kids at my pre-school were practising their songs for the end of the year party on thursday and it was so nice :) Made me wanting to help out with a childrens choir…. let see what possibilties there are when Im settle down in Melbourne

I used to sing in a choir when I was younger – really miss it. Maybe I will be able to find one to join when we move to Melbourne.
