Become a large animal veterinarian

VMCAs came out last week. Here we go!

Around junior year I decided I wanted to be a vet. It wasn’t until I got into college that I decided to work on large animals. Last summer I had an internship as a research assistant working with wild horses and donkeys. The previous summer I volunteered a rescue farm. And a few weeks ago I shadowed a farm vet, which was a blast. The hilight was seeing a 46 day cow embryo with a beating heart. I am currently in my junior year of undergrad working towards a B.S. in Conservation biology, and am in the pre-vet program.
