And I know I can go for months at a time without picking up a single cigarette…of course, being a bartender for 6 years hasn’t really given me the best environment to do that! I am working in a completely different environment now, though. We still get smoke breaks and Lord knows I need one after some of the stuff that gets mucked up around here, but I am going to do this one day at a time. First, I will only smoke one cig per break instead of 2 or 3. Second, I will only smoke one cig on the way to work and one on the way home. I will also try to break the habit of smoking right after I eat, but that is going to be a little harder. I’m just going to take baby steps for now so I don’t binge or anything…I’m getting scared…I know myself too well.
