I picked up a book about harnessing intuition…I have yet to actually do the exercises, however as I was skimming the book I saw a part that says to relax and answer the first thing that comes to mind when you read certain phrases, and it said a man’s name, and immediately a named popped into my head. I had no idea why though, as the name seemed to have no sigificance. I forgot about it until the next day when I finally made an attempt to figure out a new friend’s name without having to directly ask him, as I turned around to look at his name on his paper, and lo and behold, my intuition had told me the right name.
Now it’s just a matter of listening to that voice way more often! I know it’s there!

I’ve found that often my intuition seriously is not wrong, even if I didn’t totally listen to it at first. I’ve gotten really good at hearing it; now I just need to get good at REALLY hearing it and maybe taking action based on it. I used to think I had to be rational and think everything out but I’m finding out my gut feelings should probably be listened to. Especially when it comes to people. In fact, as I’ve listened more and more to my intuition, people have said they are envious that I’m able to do so and they’d like to do the same, so I know something is going right with this goal. :)

I’ve had rather intellectual friends argue against using instinct to make choices, they’ve clouded it so much with rationalism and using logic to make every single decision. What a passionless life! I’m going back to paying attention to my instinct first, then seeing if I want to follow THAT.
Also I’ve found my instinct to be rather right on, especially when it comes to people. I met a man a few years ago, who just skeeved me out and I decided to cut all contact with him…yesterday I found out he was arrested and is going to jail for possession of child pornography and getting underage girls to perform sex acts and what-have-you. Why NOT listen to instinct when it comes to others?!
