save one thousand dollars

As of last Friday, June 6, 2008, my goal of collecting $1,000.00 in cash for my trip to Florida has been met. I’m pretty proud of myself for getting it done in time without having to take anything out of checking to make up the difference.

Now, I can only hope that a thousand dollars is enough to cover food and gas for the approximately 700 mile trip. Wish me luck.

That’s what I want before I head on out to my next trip to Florida. Mostly just so I have cash for anything I need. Gas, hotel rooms, food, the works. Calculated, that’s a stack of fifty Jacksons—Not exactly a “big” stack, but larger than I’ve ever really had before.

Although with gas prices being as high as they are, $1,000 might not be enough!
