knit a sweater

It’s not a sweater, but yesterday I completed my first pair of gloves. They’re pretty complicated and impressive. Not gonna lie, I’m feeling pretty smug.

my brother and his girlfriend rachel are visiting me in seattle right now, and rachel has an awesome cable knit cardigan that i totally want. she bought it an estate sale where the dead woman had knitted almost everything being sold. even though it was knit with needles the size of toothpicks to achieve the detail required, and probably would take me six years to complete, given my attention span, it inspired me to acquire some actual knitting skills, as opposed to the weak ass scarf making skills i have now. yeah.

scarves and potholders are all well and good, but ideally i would like to knit something substantial, complicated and definitely pink.
