Hm . . . Maybe I should just accept it that I like to eat breakfast out. I live alone and have my own business, so eating breakfast at one of my favorite cafes gives me a shot of socializing – I know the staff and usually see friends. I think it is the social aspect that is the main draw to eating breakfast out.
The problem I have with eating out is that I do not think that restaurant food is as healthy. I buy organic – and that is so not going to happen at any of the safes/etc. in this little town. I should switch over to hanging out at the local coffee house – this is what I used to do most mornings when I first moved here. This place serves the BEST coffee I have had anywhere, hands down, and it is fair trade as well. I can sit and read and/or write. Plus, almost everyone I know in town frequents the place as well. Then a latte is less expensive than a full breakfast, and I could fix myself a healthy breakfast at home. But then I make great espresso at home, too. Maybe I just need to get a social life!
