Visit New Orleans

is amazing and sad all at the same time. The destruction from Katrina was heart-rending but the beauty of the city is still there. I wish I had been able to stay longer and I I want to go again and spend more time there.

I’ll be in New Orleans in 11 days! I’m so excited!

Visiting New Orleans has been a dream and a goal of mine since I was about 13. Next month (13 years later) I’m finally going. I’m flying late at night on the 9th and will be there from the 10th to the 14th (full days). I’m going with my Mom who is going for a realtor’s convention so I’ll be by myself a lot. (I already know to be very careful, take buses as much as possible and possibly purchase mase there). I wanted to get an idea of some MUST SEE places and things. I’m planning on taking the VooDoo/Cemetary Walking Tour through the VooDoo Museum, visit Cafe Du Monde, the French Market, and I want to take a couple tours such as a Garden District Tour. Our hotel states that it’s “within the heart of the French Quarter” and there are lot of things nearby that I want to see. I just hope I can get around easily. Are the buses inexpensive?
