train my dog

He’s a 5 month old Chihuahua and now he sits, downs, gives high fives, dances, comes, sings, heels, and can do a clockwise circle around me on command (on lead.) I’m hoping to start him in agility in the spring, and possibly train he and myself some dog dancing…

Circus Chi!

I adopted a new family member last week, a pure-bred bundle of cute, my chihuahua Spook. He was 4 months old and lived with a very patient family of chi owners so he USUALLY goes potty outside, if not on his pee pads in his pen, and occasional accidents on the floor. (Not carpeted thankfully.) He’s good at running alongside me right now without a leash, and never leaves the yard. His original parents were training him to ‘dance’ which he does at random moments. I would like to kennel train him so travel is easier, but he never minds coming along in my purse, albeit a little shy around new people. I would like to take him to obedience training in the spring, but am currently happy with his good manners so far. I’ll just keep working with what I know for now.
