list three things every day that made me happy

I thought I should end this after a month, since there wasn’t any kind of “term” specified. This was actually a really fun idea & I’m glad I did it. :D

+ great slow day at work, I had time to do all of my practice circuits, read, play online, etc.
+ Rachel made me a plate of “Rachel Ray’s Double Dipped Spicy Chicken Strips” – my first ones in 5 years! :D
+ started a fun new PC game – Prime Suspects!

+ we had a pop quiz circuit drawing test at work & I got an almost perfect score. Only missed 1 thing out of a ton of stuff & it wasn’t so much “wrong” as “overlooked”. Yay! This is good b/c we have a test in about a week & a half & this will help determine the next round of layoffs at work. :P
+ Rachel and I got our tattoos worked on by Star O’Neil today! Rachel’s was a little over 5 hours & finished, but I quit after 4 hours…it was intolerable at that point…and have to go back for one more session.
+ Mike – the shop manager at Lone Star Tattoos – gave Rachel and I both our pick of a free tshirt for “being such good customers”. SWEET! Their tshirts rock!

+ we finally submitted our passport applications! That has been on my to-do list for years! Yay!
+ got to spend some time with Dawn, Jack, Franklin & Ginny. We stopped by their house on the way to Fort Worth & picked them up to play with us
+ we went to the Fort Worth Japanese Gardens. That’s been on my list for years also. Busy day! :D

+ Rachel had a great dinner waiting for me when I got home from work with a “place card”, 2 roses in a tiny vase, and a candle. SO sweet! :)
+ I’m off work tomorrow as my “comp day” for having to work Saturday. So it was kind of like my “friday” night. Yay!
+ Finally had time to take a nice nap after work. zzzz.

+ I overslept by 20 minutes but since Rachel had made my lunch the night before, I still got to work right on time. Nice save!!
+ Finished a pc game…and I have a problem with finishing anything I start (books, video games, dvd series, etc), so this is sort of a big deal for me. hah. This one was super fun tho: Mystery Case Files, Madame Fate. I will definitely have to share with friends.
+ Rachel cleaned the floors…our house is looking awesome! The floors are always the worst since we got the dark colored Pergo & have a light hair colored cat.

+ Rachel cleaned the kitchen & cooked me dinner. Wonderful!
+ We went out for dipped cones & watched the finale of “Big Love”.
+ played PC games for awhile…I am suddenly SO addicted to those “hidden picture” games. I like to tell myself I am improving my visual skills… :)

+ picnic at Turtle Creek park with Rachel. Took some cute pictures.
+ exchanged the Osprey packs for those Deuter ones we found & signed Rach up for her own REI coop membership so we both saved 20%. Yay!

+ Spring Cleaning day! Went thru the hall closet while watching a marathon of “Big Love”.
+ dug out all of our camping gear. I was so excited to find this Compression Sack that Rachel had bought me 2 years ago that I had forgotten about. That thing ROCKS & will be perfect for our trip to Mexico!
+ went to REI and found packs that are bigger & more suited to our trip (the Osprey was only 18 liter & this one is 34). Will make an exchange tomorrow.

+ bought 2 new Osprey hiking packs at REI for our trip to Mexico!
+ finally got passport photos taken! This has been on my To-Do list for WEEKS
+ closed out my old MCI IRA & put it all to a credit card…now we are down to only $10k.
