In the past, when playing matches, I push-served my 2nd serves in order to avoid double fault. I also hit the forehand shots too soft due to lack of confidence.
Today, I replaced all my push servces with kick services in my second serves. I occasionally got double faults, but now they don’t matter to me. I could see my kick serve improving. I also tried to pound my forehands occasionally. This gave me more confident during matches.
