Beginnings... 15 months ago

I enrolled in a beginner’s yoga class at my gym which started on Wednesday and goes for 6 weeks. I had a go at the exercises I’d learned in class this morning and so far my body seems to think they’re not really what it wants to do! It is quickly becoming evident that I will really need to stick at this and try to do it every day for it to start to feel like a ‘normal’ activity that my body is comfortable with…

I am finding out more about Buddhism and whilst I don’t really identify as a Buddhist, I am realising that I also want to be a vegetarian, in line with the whole Ahimsa principle (which I think is Hindu…) which pretty much equates to ‘do no harm’.

This whole undertaking smacks of discipline; which has never been my strong suit unless you count being rather stubborn. I think I have a lot to gain from this whole thing.
