Publish a poem

Deepest darkest depths swallow me whole
Nowhere to run, Nowhere to go
Minutes to hours to days to years
Living in darkness with no way out
Easing the pain helps bring the light
One cannot survive in shades of grey
Where is the sunshine I was promised.
Where is the happiness I was promised.
They all lied and now it’s dark.
Surrounding and suffocating
It’s all around.
Where is the life I was promised.

Dark abyss pulling me in
Dread, despair, pain
All around at every angle
No way to escape.
No ray of light can be found
Cyclone of darkness
With me in the center
Tornado of pain
With me in the eye
Nowhere to go
Trapped in ebony light
Trapped in the abyss.
