About 6 months ago I was able to stop biting my nails for over a month, and then finals came around! :-(
My method was simply painting my nails religiously. Sometimes I’d paint my nails up to 10 times a day. The thicker the polish, the easier it was to peel off with my fingers – and this became my new habit.
Now, I’m determined to not bite them again. I think I’m going to stick to this method, but add the rubber band and rewards for when I don’t my nails. Just gave myself a manicure… and in two weeks, if I’m still bite free, I’ll go to the salon.
