the romantics

i’m reading it. and i will finish it. i can’t remember the last book i finished. oy.

six months

all seven harry potter books. done.

did i mention?

I’m almost done with the fourth Harry Potter! Evidently I do well with series.

breaking dawn

i read them all… now what?

the twilight saga

i finished book three (Eclipse) on Monday and now i’m reading the final book (Breaking Dawn). so far it’s interesting… i’m not sure how i like the way the plot is going so far, but we’ll see soon enough since i’m having a problem putting it down. hmph.

two down. two to go.

I just finished New Moon – the sequel to Twilight.

“The book of ‘New Moon,’ the majority of it is incredibly depressing,” Pattinson (who plays Edward in the movie) told Reuters. “Obviously ‘Twilight’ was about finding first love and the difficulties of that, but ‘New Moon’ is really about loss and reconciliation, but the reconciliation isn’t completely full.”

And now I’m onto Eclipse.

i thought i was a fool for no one

“When I was with him, the time and the place were such a muddled blur that I completely lost track of both.” pg 217

Embarrassingly enough – that is how I feel when I’m reading this book (Twilight). I get so enthralled that nothing seems to exist except for me and this book. It’s ridiculous. I feel myself becoming flustered by the words and actions of the characters and then I realize that I have to catch my breath. I can’t even remember the last time someone made me nervous or my heart skip a beat, but this book has been doing it all day.

I’m almost done with it. I’m on pg 363, but I’m making myself go to bed at one. I have to! Luckily, I still have three more books and the movie.

usually

i don’t read books that everyone else is reading. sure i’ve read oprah books or best sellers, but never Harry Potter or, as the case may be right now, Twilight. matter of fact, i told myself i wouldn’t read it. that it was far too trendy and beyond me to get caught up in.

i stayed up until 1:30 reading it. and i didn’t want to stop.

The Polysyllabic Spree

“I don’t want anyone writing in to point out that I spend too much money on books, many of which I will never read. I know that already. I certainly intend to read all of them, more or less. My intentions are good. Anyway, it’s my money. And I’ll bet you do it too.” – Nick Hornby

book list:

The Shack
The Late Bloomer’s Revolution
Deep Economy
Bright Shiny Morning
Enter the Worship Circle

no more until these.

ha.

we’re reading total truth (pearcey) in house church.

and i’m listening to a book on cd. barack obama’s change we can believe in. i’m still on disc one. this has nothing to do with him and everything to do with me.

i never finish books. i read part of them and move on most of the time. decidedly, that doesn’t bother me. it’s like having a sampler appetizer. i want to have a little bit of everything before i decide what i’m going to have for real.

plus, when i read at the end of the day, my eyes get tired and i fall asleep.
