write a song

I wrote a piano solo piece out of boredom, and I’m a little nervous about writing it down because it’s mostly improvised. Maybe I’ll solidify a melody and put some words to it.

But that being said, I should write another one. Maybe I’ll find out I actually want to grow up to be a composer.

I arranged another song. “Trashin’ the Camp” from Tarzan. Yes, it’s the Phil Collins/N*SYNC version (it’s the best of both worlds!). I did it for my jazz group, but we’ve got so much crap maybe I’ll have to wait and do it with whatever group I join in college. I hear Knox doesn’t have the kind of group I want—I guess I’ll be making one!

I finished my arrangement of “I Won’t Say I’m In Love” from Hercules, and now I’m in the mood to actually write something from scratch. I have no idea what to write, and I have no idea how good I will be at it, but we’ll see.
