Frustrated in France

I recently traveled to Paris, where we stayed with my husband’s relatives. Fortunately for me, most of them can speak English, but it was frustrating not to be able to fully participate in conversations when everyone was speaking French. (My husband is fluent in French). I can understand a lot when listening or reading, but I’m too rusty to speak. I’ve tried brushing up with French books, but I think the only technique that’s really going to get me speaking French is immersion. Guess I’ll have to move to France someday!
