On day 29 – May 15, which I skipped writing this gratefulness note, I went to the premiere of star trek at midnight. it was mind-blowing, but kind of make me nostalgic for Star Wars….
anyway, so that’s why I overslept the next day, I mean REALLY overslept. when I wake up to see it’s already 4:10 PM, I couldn’t believe my watch.
I got up and saw 5 missed phone calls, and bunch of messages from my boss, and more emails from my boss.
then I just couldn’t believe my luck!
my boss was going to interview this guy in another city this weekend. I was suppose to get the plane tickets and book hotel. but then that guy was very busy so he canceled out on us. surprisingly, because I missed the message, my boss doesn’t know. AND, he got another thing coming up and he decided to cancel the meeting at exactly 3:30 PM.
which means, should I get up an hour early at 3 PM, I would have bought the tickets and all the stuff, and then would have to go through the trouble of refund everything.
and now, not only did I had a good long sleep. my boss is extremely apologetic, the guy we are supposed to meet is extremely apologetic, and they were both extremely impressed with the calm, nonefussy way I dealt with (or didn’t dealt with) all this, ah, what luck is that!
maybe I really should oversleep more often!
so I’m grateful for
1. a nice long sleep
2. overslept
3. everything sorted out naturally without any work
4. ice cream

3. for my boss’ treating me as an intelligent woman, not just a fresh-out-of-college kid
4. for my boss’ always being understanding, and thinking on my behalf
5. for all this, and the fact that I have a little more than a month to work for him – I appreciate everyday
~ and no, I’m not having a crash on him, I just can’t believe I have such good luck in a time when my friends are either unemployed or have to settle for a job that they don’t like. —I’m very very grateful
