watch fifty films in 2006

I can’t believe that I nearly made it to my 30’s without ever having seen this movie all the way through. It just seemed too much of a lad’s film to be bothered. I really liked it, though.

CLassic movie with Steve Mc Queen and Dustin Hoffman. Dan and I had caught the first half of this on TV about 3 months ago, and were so intrigued to see the end that we went out and bought it. Great film, classic Steve McQueen escape movie.

Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Glly-whatever, and Anothony Hopkins. Brilliant movie, as it should be with a cast like that. It was kind of Beautiful Mind-esque.

Maybe my mind has become too sharp by watching CSI and House, but I was able to figure out the twist to this movie within 2 minutes of Jennifer Aniston’s character appearing on screen. Dull, in my eyes. And what is up with all the hype about Clive Owen? Overrated!

Let me preface this review by saying I love Johnny Depp, to the point of obssession. Even with that in mind, I just wasn’t feeling this movbie. At all. For one, it was WAAY too long. And I think the coolness of pirates has worn off, it was new and exciting in the first one. I did like the twist of Davey Jones and the Flying Dutchman, the special effects used to make up the crew were great. But overall, I was disappointed, even more so knowing that there will be a third installment (beating a dead horse?)

Starring Claire Daines and Steve Martin, I really liked this movie. Suprisingly touching and romantic, give it a rent.

We’re on a roll now, 2 in a row! Johnny Depp, 16th century bawdy drunken poet, YUM! If you llike period pieces, Samantha Morton, Depp, or John Malkovich, see this movie. If you don’t, then you have no taste. Even if you hate Johnny Depp, you’ll enjoy watching him die of syphillis.

YAY, finally, a movie I LIKED!If you liked Best in Show, or if you are into reality shows, then this mockumentary is for you! Funniest thing I’ve seen in a while.

God, I hate war movies. So this was no exception. Nothing like a good dose of brainwashing to turn you into a jarhead obsessed with getting the chance to kill someone. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Even Jake’s naked ass couldn’t save this one for me.

So-so, I’m glad I waited for it to come out on video rather than pay 9 blip to see it in the theatres. The acting was really wooden, maybe you need to be a Woody Allen fan to appreciate the film?
