Last year, my husband and I were talking about taking a cruise this year. I watched some shows on cruises, bought a few books for research purposes . . . then he got sent to Afghanistan.
It’s just not possible to book an expensive trip that takes forethought when you don’t even know when your husband will come home.
Maybe next year.

This is something I see (maybe) being possible in a few years from now. Right now, savings are going toward a car. After that, savings will be a cruise fund if there are no emergencies (knock knock) or more pressing uses for the money.
When it starts to look more like a reality, I’ll have to do some research. At this point, I know little about how to pick a cruise. Ideally, I’d like to go on an all-inclusive ship that goes to white sand tropical islands. I have no children, so I have no need for childrens’ activities on board; I’d prefer as much as it is possible to travel on a grown-ups oriented ship. Gambling on board would be a plus.
