I’ve learned a bit of Spanish already just because it’s everywhere in the U.S. these days. For example: Once I was shopping for microwave popcorn and all of the boxes left were in Spanish only. I learned that day (and haven’t forgotten) that mantequilla = butter.
I have a beginner learn-Spanish CD set; I don’t know if it is any good since I have yet to open the package. (Heh.) I was going to do the set after I finished the French set. I got side-tracked from the French a while ago.
I’ve been having trouble finding the time or motivation to learn the languages. I wonder if I can pick up languages in my sleep . . . :-P
