Why I Haven't (Yet) 23 months ago

I’ve donated goods and money to animal shelters and adopted kitties from them. I’ve volunteered for other organizations and causes. For a long time, I’ve wanted to actually put in time at an animal shelter. Fear has held me back. I really love animals, especially cats and dogs. Because I care a lot, I wonder if I can deal with the pain and death that I will most surely see when I do this.
