bowl a 200 game

I bowled a 201 on 1/31 and 224 tonight. The 201 was so anxiety-ridden. It was during league play and one of the guys on the other team was like “hey, you’re going to make 200” and generally talking to me and distracting me, but i pulled through in the last frame. Tonight’s 224 was a clean game – all marks. No more ethan two strikes in a row but I picked up all my spares, includingn a 5-10 split in the 8th frame (I’m left-handed so it was easier, I guess). A feeling of relief after the 201, and a real sense of accomplishment tonight.

The other night I had 164 in frame 8 and a strike in 9. All I needed was a strike and 4 pins, or a spare and a few more in ten…but…I bowled a 6 and 3, ending up with a 192. Soooo close.

Since I made this goal, I have bowled in the 190s 3 or 4 times, the highest being about 194. So close…

186 tonight with the new ball.

I have bought a new ball, and bowled a 164 or so with it the other day. My highest game ever is like 186, but my average right now is closer to 130, so this is, in some ways, a huge goal. I want to bowl one 200+ game by the end of 2006. I think the new ball will help.
