Write for a living

I’ve been writing for eHow as an expert since August of last year. It’s a modest paycheck but at least I’m getting paid!

Well, I submitted an article to an on-line magazine over 2 months ago (i think) and haven’t gotten a response. I suppose I’ve been rejected.

I had thought I’d write non-fiction articles & such but everything that has been coming out of my pen lately has been fiction – and on the sci-fi/fantasy side of things. I guess that’s to be expected because I read a lot of Ursula LeGuin, Octavia Butler, Ray Bradbury… sci-fi fantasy… and lots of it.

Lately I’ve been forcing myself to read outside that genre. I picked up some poetry & a Gertrude Stein anthology…
