Learn how to crochet and knit

I’ve been so busy with school, I haven’t had time to knit in several months. I was able to pick it up again the other day, and I can’t remember how to purl! I can do the knit stich just fine, but I feel like an idiot when it comes to the purl stich. This had been driving me crazy all week. Anyone have any tips (or refreshers) on purling?

Well, I can knit now. I took a class on knitting on Saturday, and the instructor was a total bitch. All I kept hearing about was what I was doing wrong, and she wasn’t very encouraging. I felt like the biggest knitting idiot ever. I’m not stupid, and I don’t appreciate people making me feel stupid. That is totally not the way to teach someone something.

Anyway, I’m making a scarf, which will probably take me forever to finish, so long in fact that I probably won’t be able to use the scarf until next winter. At least I have something to keep me busy!

My aunt is taking me to knitting class next weekend. My mom sent me some of her old knitting needles (and they’re pink!) I have a plan to make a friend of mine a baby blanket. I found some cute, cute yarn at the store. So hopefully, by next weekend, I’ll be on my way to becoming a knitting queen.
