Not that I consider bags to be an essential, real part of my wardrobe (I don’t even own a lot of bags, they’re not so important to me), but I thought I’d log one of my newest purchases here: this lovely, handmade green bag! I really like it, I think it’s very cute. It’s from one fleamarket and it only cost 3 euros. :)
Also, I’ve recently found some more shirts from fleamarkets, they’ve been nice and cheap. One of them is the black one I’m wearing on the photo above, but it doesn’t show so well there. The other new shirts are both pink, they have fun prints and they’re a bit bigger than what I normally wear.
Also, on Monday I got 50 euros from my mother – I had sold some stuff at the fleamarket! Wohoo! Quite a lot of those were clothes.
Still need to get a couple of those basic tops that I mentioned earlier before I’ll mark this goal as done.

Where do all the new great finds of mine disappear? It’s like, I find some really nice clothes, buy them, bring them home… and then they’re gone! They’re just normal clothes then, my clothes. The appeal kind of wears off somehow, the clothes become more plain.
Curses of the fashion industry! I bet they’ve designed clothes to be exactly like this, so that we keep buying new ones, trying to catch the glamour of newness. But it always fades, sigh.
And you keep looking at other people’s nice clothes, wondering why yours can’t look that cool. I guess the perspective is just wrong. Why is this even important, meh?
I think I’ll buy a few more basic tops and add them to my wardrobe, then I’ll consider this goal to be done for now.
I’ll probably need to go through all my clothes again pretty soon and try to get rid of some of them. They’re taking surprisingly much space!

How come is it that I’ve found tons of new, nice clothes and gotten rid of the useless old ones
but still when I go stare at my closet and try to decide what to wear, it seems like I have nothing to wear?! Gah.

Lookin' good~

Last week I found so many clothes from fleamarkets! I got insanely lucky; so many nice clothes and they didn’t even cost much. I probably wouldn’t have even gotten three new shirts from a clothing store with the money I spent on my fleamarket purchases!
I even found two pairs of good jeans, that made me very happy. :) It’s usually quite hard for me to find nice pants, it’s much easier to find shirts. There were some true gems amongst my finds. Yay!
Still need to go through the wardrobe a little bit and get rid of some more old clothes.

This undertaking has been going quite well!
I’ve found some nice new items, all of them from fleamarkets, so they have not been expensive. I also managed to go through my closet quickly and got rid of 26 pieces of clothing, which are now on sale at one fleamarket. I still have some clothes in the closet that will be going away, too, but I’m not really in a hurry to get rid of all of them right away.
I also reached an enlightenment of sorts a little over a week ago, concerning my own style. I now have a clear image in my head about what I want to be wearing from now on.
It’s basically a very casual, basic t-shirt & jeans style, but I will be adding some indie and vintage spices in there, too. In earthy colours. It’s a bit hard to explain exactly what I want in words, but hopefully you’ll be able to see what I mean once I’ve managed to put everything together.
Money is still a bit of a problem, because I don’t want to be spending a lot right now, but the sales are also tempting me a bit and I would need a couple of very basic elements to add to my wardrobe. Like a really good pair of jeans and some new black pants, my old ones almost have holes in them.
My new favorite items can be seen on the pics above: I finally found the kind of belt that I’d been looking for, it’s perfect! And it only cost 1,50 euros. :) I’ve also found nice shirts, the loveliest has probably been this mustard coloured one that I’m still wearing, I adore it! I’ve never had this colour before, it’s refreshing and I think it looks good as well.

I’ve been acquiring some new clothes recently.
Two weeks ago my mother and I visited a fleamarket, like we usually do on Mondays, and I found myself an awesome hoodie for just 2 euros! I’ve been really happy about that, the hoodie has become like a jacket for me now. (I wouldn’t mind having a real summer jacket either, heh. This is a problem I always have.) I also found a cute summer dress for 3 euros but I’m not yet quite sure how much I’ll actually be wearing it and my mother bought me another dress, which is a lot fancier (but was pretty cheap) and I’m thinking of wearing it for my cousin’s confirmation party later this summer.
Before our trip to France I found the perfect summer dress, I’m totally in love with it! You can see it on the photo above. And I got so lucky with that dress: the real price was almost 30 euros, but as I was fitting the dress on, I noticed it had a couple of minor spots at the front. I didn’t mind that, they’re not really noticeable, but I figured I should point them out to the cashier, maybe I could get a discount. Since this was the only dress in my size, the salesperson did give me a discount. When she was punching the numbers into the cash machine, she noticed that the dress was actually on sale and it was only a bit over 16 euros. She still agreed to give me a bit of a discount for the stains. When she was getting ready to fold the dress and put it into a bag, she noticed that there were little holes on the backside of the dress. She ended up giving me the dress for 10 euros, wohoo! :D And those holes were easy to fix, no problem. I can’t believe the luck I had, hahaa.
When we were in Turku last week, we went to a fleamarket with Juho’s mother and I found two pairs of jeans for just 10 euros in total. :)
And this Monday mum and I went to the fleamarket again here in Tampere and I found a really cute skirt and a lovely green top. My mum offered to pay for those, yay.
Lots of nice new stuff. :) Oh and I also got a bit over 20 euros from the fleamarket for some of my old stuff that had been sold, hurray!
I’d still need to get rid of a lot of my old clothes and make some more room in my closet for the new ones. Since I’m being really indecisive about what to do today, maybe I should tackle this project right now, hmm~

Woohoo! I cleaned the whole closet today! It took a lot of time and a lot of effort, but I got it done! It was actually a surprisingly tiring task, I’m totally knackered now. (But the closet isn’t the only thing I’ve cleaned and reorganized today.) I’m really happy to see the neat wardrobe now, though, it looks so much better than before! :) Things are in their proper places, I like the new order of some things and I love the fact that there’s more floor space now!
I didn’t actually manage to get rid of that many clothes yet, I’ll need to do that some other time, when I have more time to focus on my choices. But I did get two plastic bags worth of junk out from the closet, at least.
I also washed all of my laundry in the morning, there was a lot of it.

I’m dying to get this done, to be honest. I’ve been having a huge clothing crisis recently, maybe because my hair is the shortest it has been in years. I’m so used to having longer hair and now my clothes just don’t… ~match with this new hair. Or something like that, maybe. I’m not sure. :’D I just know that I’m not very happy about my selection of clothes.
I’ll be getting rid of the clothes that I don’t use anymore, I’ll put them on sale at a flea market. I hope someone will buy them, if not, I might just donate them somewhere.
I really want to get lots of nice new clothes, but I’m trying to be patient with that part, because I can’t be using all that much money right now. :s But if I find some nice items that are plain bargains, I’ll buy them. I actually already began this part on Monday, when I bought two nice shirts that had been discounted. I’ve been buying most of my clothes from the flea markets lately anyway, so I’m not a big spender when it comes to clothes.
I also would like to define and work on my own style, I want my clothes to look like me. If that makes any sense, heh.
A big part of this goal is also to clean and reorganize the actual, physical wardrobe, my closet. It’s such a mess now (realistic photos added above), I want to empty the whole closet, go through all the stuff, get rid of the unnecessary things and put the good stuff back in there neatly. This will be a huge project, but I need to get started on it today. And it would be very good if I could finish it before my party on Saturday, wouldn’t want this place to look like a battle field. :’D
Lots of things will be relocated while I do this closet update, that’s why it’s such a big project. I need to find the best places for all items.
Oh and I need to do a lot of laundry, too.
