I got them back yesterday. n _ n
I’m really glad it didn’t take them longer than that to change the left lense.
And now I won’t give these glasses up for anything! :D

ANGER. RAGE. WEEP AND WOE.
They took my glasses away. ; _ ; My beautiful new glasses.
When I got them, they said that there was a minor flaw on the other lense and that they’d order me a new one. Last Friday I got a message from them saying that the lense was ready.
Today, after my classes, I went to the shop and asked for the new lense. And then they informed that they’ll be needing my glasses and that I’ll get them back in two, maybe three weeks! What. The. Hell. They had not mentioned anything about that! I was totally unprepared!
But I had to leave my glasses there and had to find my way back home practically halfblind.
If I do not get them back for our trip to England,
heads will roll! I swear to god(s)!
And to think,
I was just getting used to my glasses. I had started to feel normal with them. Now they’ll be gone and when I get them back, I’ll probably have to start the process all over again. Back to my old crappy glasses and contact lenses. Graah. :c
I got my glasses yesterday
and I really like them! :> Ah, I see so well now!
It’s going to take a bit of time to get used to these, but I’ll get over it pretty soon I’m sure. Just feels/looks like the world’s shaking a bit from time to time. Weird sensation.
Ordered my lenses yesterday, I should be getting my beautiful new classes in about a week and a half. Woohoo! :> Can’t wait.
And they’re also giving me the chance to pay for the glasses in three parts (*couldn’t think of the correct word here, any suggestions?) installments, how nice.
Soon soon soon I can say goodbye to these dreadful old glasses, it’s about time to get rid of them. I’ve had them for over seven years now. :x
I remember someone telling me about how to dispose of your glasses in a way that helps others – apparently there’s some group that you can donate your old glasses to. They then give the glasses to people who can’t afford to get glasses otherwise. Pity that I can’t remember who told me about this, I’ll have to ask around. The concept’s just too good to pass.
AARGH, effing social services! I’m so pissed off right now!
They told us that they’d give us some money for my glasses and we waited around for their stupid paper work to go through and then, oh yeah this is where it gets good,
then, after over a month of waiting around, they send me a paper that says that if I really want to get new glasses, I can take on a student loan! Aah I hate loans, I never want to have anything to do with them.
This wouldn’t be so bad if they hadn’t told us that they would give us money, they practically promised it! We waited around for nothing! I could have my glasses already, my mum might have been able to scrape up the money by now, if they hadn’t made us just wait and wait.
I’m gonna go to the optician tomorrow and order my lenses, finally.
Oh how I wish I could have my glasses already, I’m so tired of not seeing well. :c And I can’t wear contacts all the time. I just hope we can come up with the money soon.
(Yes, I’ve been on a bad mood for days, so my reactions are a bit over the top right now, I know.)
Waah, it’s taking so long to get them. :x
I probably would have them already if it was just my mum who’s paying for them, but we’re getting some assistance from social services so the process takes more time. But hey, at least we’re getting some money, everything helps.
I really feel like throwing away my old glasses, they’re so annoyingly old. The oculist I saw before Christmas agreed that I have had to squint a lot. Graah.
Picked out my new glasses today! :>
Don’t exactly know when I’ll get them, might take a while. But still, I am getting them! Yay!
I really want new glasses. :x I’ve had these old ones for over five years now and they’re not that efficient anymore. My eyesight has weakened quite a lot (but luckily my oculist said that it shouldn’t worsen after this, yay) and I don’t really even like these old glasses – they’re a bit too big and worn out.
I love wearing my new contact lenses, I had almost forgotten that a human being can see so well! :D It’s fabulous.
Hopefully my mum will have gathered enough money by Christmas and be able to buy me new eyeglasses. That would be a great Christmas present.
