Going well so far...

I’ve managed to save $900 for my spring break trip to Costa Rica and I’m very proud of myself.

My yearly goal is to save $2,500 and I’m doing pretty well with that, too.

I’m also aiming to pay off my credit cards in the summer, and I’ve made major progress with them.

I now keep a detailed budget and track of all my finances.

My only downfalls are spending too much of my “disposible” income (and too much on eating out). I guess disposible income is for spending, but I feel like I could be making better use of this money—such as saving more.

I’m fortunate that this year I am getting a ton of financial aid and making $9 an hour. I’m worried about what happens when I graduate college and won’t have the financial aid to help me, or when I’m in graduate school.

But I can only take it one day at a time, and keep up with my financial plan as best as I can.

i need to spend less to save more.

i spend way too much money on food and i need to stop.

and not groceries, but mostly like getting food on campus and eating out.

i’m a good cook, so i feel like money spent on non-grocery food is a complete waste.
