This book was wild; totally unforgettable. I read a review somewhere that it’s the type of book where you might get a glimpse of what will happen next, but you think – no… there’s no way they would go there – but they do. I was often repulsed. But intrigued. I stopped reading for a while in the middle, but I’m glad I got back and kept at it; it actually became quite the page turner. I think partly because I really really wanted it to wrap up in some sort of happy ending; I wanted all the characters to return to their early glory! Oh, no such luck; though the end is still kinda perfect.
One down, about a million to go.

My goal for this month was to finish:
geek love: I’m just past halfway – yikes – but I’m loving it! it’s a great bus ride book (commute to work is a 1/2 hr on bus each way, so that’s a pretty decent hour a day)
bird by bird by anne lammott – done! loved it! very inspiring; nice bedtime read.
younger next year – was looking for fitness advice and inspiration. it’s a very easy read, i skim the parts that are not as relevant to me.
Can I do it? I think so! Although I must admit this goal is gonna take forever! Esp since I am still allowing myself to borrow books and buy them secondhand. But, a lot of these books that are unread on my shelf were bought on a whim. So, if I buy, I gotta know I’m gonna love it and read it right away. And in the meantime, I will continue to chip away at the shelves.

first I want to finish the books I’ve already started. Then I move to the shelves. I’ve set them up on all consuming.

Once I have finished reading the books I have, I can reward myself with a new book. or three.
