I read the article quoted by Pimpin26, and I think it’s ~~ right. Generally.
In general, girls don’t care about the men’s body. The more clever a girl is, the less she cares about that. But this is only about the average and there aren’t only clever girls.
The truth is, that many girls care about muscles. And in my case, there we don’t speak about an “average body”, but a slim, a too slim body. If I were “usual”, “average”, I wouldn’t care. If they can choose from an average and a sporty guy, they will care.
As of my progress, I’m stuck. My +3 kgs gain in the first 3 months were quite good (for me), but no progress since then. My weight is a stable 72.5 kgs now, I don’t go below this, only above, but then come back to 72.5. Last week I was 74.7, but that was only fat, and I managed to get rid of that surplus. I have more musclepower, but no more muscle.
What to do? Do I need new excersises? More calories? A better carbohydrate/protein product? Shall I change my menu? Bah, I don’t have the time for this whole thing, TBH :(

I’m visiting the gym since September, and although I did not expect any changes, there is some. Nobody c/would see these microscopis changes, except me, but I do :)
I gained ~2,2 kilogramms, but there were a lot of disturbing factors. I had +1 kg soon after a month, then nothing changed for three weeks. Then I had a period of 8 days, during which I had no lunch 4 times. I lost the one tiny kg, too :( After two weeks, I got it back, and a half more. ATM I have +2,2 kgs compared to the starting weight. That’s nothing, but more than expected.
Unfortunatelly, I got sick last week, and that was the first week since september, when I visited the gym only once. Thus, my pal has been quite unreliable for the last month, I had to train alone sometimes. I’m tired more and more. So my training is in a small pothole, the progress is slowing.
I have to brace myself up, kick my pal’s butt, forget about the tiredness, and continue my project.

I have to train my body. Not really for big muscles… it’s about health. I’m sitting 12-15 hours before computers a day… and I’d like to build a body which will serve me for more than 50 years from now on.
