9 and 10

Just sped through 2 Henry VI and Coriolanus for English. And thus we reach 10! Ta da!

Twelfth Night. And it’s depressing that it’s taken me this long to get around to reading another one – and even then only because it was my setwork this semester. I started reading it at the end of last year, but I was writing matric finals at the time and that just didn’t happen. But now I’ve read it properly at last!

2 to go…

Othello was amazing. Absolutely unbelievable. I’d call it “off the hook”, but it somehow doesn’t seem right to apply that term to Shakespeare’s work (but, just for the record, it really is off the hook). I’ve jyst finished the first act of Twelfth Night, which was actually our setwork in Grade 7, but I’m not sure we ever read the whole thing. So I shall do so now.

6 down...

1. A Midsummer Night’s Dream
2. The Taming of the Shrew
3. Romeo and Juliet
4. Hamlet
5. Macbeth
6. Ant and Cleo

And we’re on to number 7. Having read all of 2 acts of Othello I think I may have found a play I like more than Macbeth. I’m in love with this play. It’s unbelievable. Next, I’m planning on reading King Lear, Twelfth Night and possibly Much Ado About Nothing or Richard III. Hmmm.
